I am excited to announce that another of my flash fiction pieces was published in a literary magazine!
My short story, The Carnival, was published in the February 2025 edition of Micromance Magazine.
This makes four publications under my belt. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.
You can check out the story here.

I will never not be excited to receive an acceptance to a literary magazine because it reminds me of the road it took to get there.
When I started querying my first novel in 2020/2021, I didn’t have anything to put in my bio, except that I had been a teacher for 13 years and was moving into a career in content writing for a tutoring company.
I had been sending my flash pieces to literary magazines for 8 years before I got my first acceptance. 8 years. I know I’ve told this story before, but indulge me in allowing me to repeat myself.
I didn’t start placing in the NYC Midnight competitions for my group until three years into participating.
Every time I get to revise my bio to add something else is a good day. It took a lot of work to get here. I’m reminded of the girl I was at the start of this journey. I’m so glad she kept going.
Until next week, friends.
