Sorry for the long pause. Some s**t’s been going down, so I had to take a minute. But I’m back!
What have I been up to? Glad you asked!
Mainly the last two-ish months have been spent working on a creative project that had a bit of deadline. Part of me wants to talk about it here, and another part of me is too scared to talk about it in case I jinx it. So, I’m going to just stay quiet for a little longer. But hopefully I’ll have some good news in the fall to share!
Back to the update!
Once the project was out, I needed a little bit of a break…which is what I’ve been doing. Just reading books and having migraines.
And on that note.
This month I had a migraine that lasted 9 days. 9. Days.
To say it was hell is an understatement. Because my insurance didn’t approve my acute migraine med, I ended up taking too much of an NSAID that ultimately caused a rocking case of gastritis.
After a spur of the moment trip to the primary care doctor, followed by a visit with the neurologist, I’m now on preventative supplements and a new acute migraine med (that was actually approved by insurance.) A sweet, sweet cocktail of magnesium, B2, and COQ10, which I am incredibly hopeful will lessen the severity and length of these migraine attacks I’ve been getting. Fingers crossed.
Aside from the project and the migraine, life has been boring, which is exactly how I like it. After years of living in the steady chaos that was teaching, it’s refreshing to be able to relax and enjoy my evenings and weekends. Oh, and enjoy my life…like overall. Even with all the migraine attacks I’ve been getting.
